SUMMARY:2nd Annual 'Lagers in Lawrence' Oktoberfest
DESCRIPTION:Dust off your Lederhosen and steins Munich is coming back to Lawrence!\n\nThe City of Lawrence\, in partnership with Indiana On Tap\, will play host to the return of the wildly popular 'Lagers in Lawrence' Oktoberfest. The 2019 event will take place on Saturday\, Sept. 21st from 3pm   7pm. This event will again be one of the largest and premier Oktoberfest events in all of central Indiana.\n\nThis German-themed Oktoberfest event will take place at the city's outdoor Civic Plaza in the heart of Lawrence and will feature 25 + Indiana breweries\, wineries & distilleries. Attendees will be allowed UNLIMITED SAMPLES of more than 150+ craft beverages. The event will feature all styles of beer in addition to the popular Lager styles. And not to worry\, there will be plenty of pretzels and polka.\n\nMusic\, local food trucks\, games\, raffles and more will again play part in the afternoon's entertainment. The event will also feature several classical German dance routines from the German American Klub of Indianapolis. It's spectacular to see you don't want to miss it.\n\nBRING YOUR OWN BEER STEIN! While tasting cups will be provided to all attendees upon entry\, we encourage all attendees to bring their favorite stein or beer mug to the event. You might just receive a special surprise if you do.\n\nThe event will also play host to a "Masskrugstemmen" (stein-holding) competition for the crowd to enjoy. A select number of event attendees will be allowed to compete in this unique Bavarian feat of strength and endurance competition where contestants must hold a 1-liter stein of beer out in front of them (at shoulder level) for as long as they can. Prizes and trophies will be awarded to the winners.
