Chew on This is every 3rd Tuesday of the month!  \n\nIt's a great way to spend your lunch hour networking with others & listening to some wonderful guest speakers.\n\n\n\nThis months speaker is Vincennes University President Dr. Chuck Johnson \n\nCharles R. "Chuck" Johnson was appointed the 22nd President of Vincennes University in 2015.\n\nWhile at VU\, Johnson has overseen the development and growth of many of VU's work-based learning partnerships with industry\, such as Toyota\, Subaru\, Caterpillar\, Cummins\, Kimball\, Jasper Engines\, Major Tool\, Red Gold\, and Amazon.  He has been extensively involved in the expansion of VU's Early College program\, including the development of Career and Technical Education Early Colleges with Career Centers and Cooperatives across Indiana\, reaching thousands of Hoosier students.  \n\n \n\nPassionate about student success\, Johnson has overseen VU's efforts to improve student retention\, persistence\, and graduation and has also led VU's efforts to enhance international partnerships with several colleges and schools.\n\nJohnson serves on the Governor's Workforce Cabinet and on a variety of boards promoting education\, workforce\, economic\, and community development across Indiana and in various regions.\n\nA native of Washington\, Indiana\, Johnson earned a Ph.D. at Purdue University\, an MBA from Bowling Green\, and a B.S. in Economics from Indiana State University. He and his wife\, Sarah (VU '80)\, have two adult daughters and two grandchildren.
