DESCRIPTION:Greetings Local Business Owners and Managers\, The City of Lawrence Crime Prevention will once again host our quarterly Business Watch meeting. Our Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday February 28\, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will be held in the City of Lawrence Government Center Public Assembly room\, located at 9001 E. 59th Street.These meetings focus on developing a working relationship and partnership with our local businesses and our police department. It is our goal to communicate information that is helpful to you regarding the crime trends in Lawrence\, and how we can work together to assist our officers in reducing crime (of all types). This requires a commitment from all of us working together. You will have the opportunity to meet other business organizations in Lawrence and have the opportunity to share your thoughts as well as ask questions. Mr. Chuck Ricks will be our speaker. Mr. Ricks is a retired U.S Army Lieutenant Colonel whose career in public service began 47 years ago. After retiring from the Army\, he served six years as the Director of Economic Development and Deputy Mayor for the City of Lawrence before returning to the international security arena in 2004. Mr. Ricks' specialties include crisis management\, governance\, international security assistance\, interagency operations\, crisis communication\, threat analysis and influence operations. Mr. Ricks will be speaking to us about Security Awareness. Please mark your calendars now so you do not miss out on this meeting.
