DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Annual Greater Lawrence Chamber Membership Luncheon\, Sponsored by Wessler Engineering\, on Thursday\, October 3rd\, 2019. We are excited to welcome our Keynote Speaker\, Mario Rodriguez.\n\n\n\nMr. Rodriguez is the Executive Director (CEO) of the award-winning Indianapolis Airport Authority. He is one of the foremost aviation experts in the United States\, appointed by both the Obama and Trump Administrations to the National Department of Transportation Committee for Aviation Consumer Protection. The former president of the California Airports Council\, named in 2012 one of the ten most powerful people in Long Beach and in 2018 received the State of Indiana's highest honor\, The Sagamore of the Wabash. For 30 years he has held leadership positions in airports from Long Beach\, California to New Orleans\, Louisiana with year-after-year success in achieving results in rapidly changing environments.\n\n \n\nToday he spearheads the Authority's strategic direction and operations. Under his leadership the Authority has amassed an impressive number of awards and recognitions including being named the Best Airport in the U.S. by J.D. Powers and Associates\, Airport Council International\, and Cond Nast.\n\n \n\nHe gives back to his community by serving as the chairman of the statewide Indiana Latino Institute. He also is a Board Member of key organizations such as the Indy and Indiana Chambers\, Visit Indy\, The Indiana Sports Corps\, Economic Club of Indiana and the 500 Festival.\n\n \n\nGraduate of the University of Miami (1987)\, attended the Harvard Kennedy School\, and an accomplished author and speaker on issues affecting the aviation industry\, including business recovery and disaster management.
