DescriptionLearn about Strategic Planning and its critical importance in the rapidly changing business environment. As opposed to a traditional business plan a strategic plan looks 3 to 5 years into the future. In doing this plan the focus turns to what is going to change, are we prepared for this change, and what do we need to do from an organizational and financial perspective to succeed. A well prepared plan will address the overriding issues facing a business which are often not given enough time in the day-to-day challenges of running a business.
SCORE Mentor John Linster will take us through the steps of developing a plan which will enable us to understand better the isssues facing us in the future and how to address them. John spent his business career with four companies - Colgate-Palmolive in Brand Management, Avery Dennison in Marketing, and Pentech International and Jordan Industries as President/CEO. Since his retirement he has focused his energies on advising business start-ups and small businesses as well as consulting with a variety of non-profit organizations in the areas of strategic planning, business development, and board development.
